Richmond Area Guide to Community Events

Here are some of the MARCUMsold Team's favorite things to do in-and-around Richmond, KY!

What: Humane Society ALL Fiesta Bowl Chili Supper & Silent Auction

Where: Russel Acton Folk Recreation, 212 W Jefferson Street, Berea

When: Friday, March 22nd, 2019 from 5PM – 8PM

Details: Friday, March 22, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 PM, come one, come all to the Russel Acton Folk Center in Berea, KY at 212 Jefferson Street for our 2019 all you can eat chili supper (choice of all veggie or beef) FUNDRAISER and silent auction!  Tickets are at the door. Dinner includes cornbread, mouth watering desserts, and beverages. With the purchase of an adult dinner ($12 plus tax), you will get to choose an awesome Fiesta-ware bowl to take home!  Child's dinner ($5 plus tax) does not include bowl, but we will have hotdogs and chips available as an option for children, plus dessert of course.  Dinner music provided courtesy of the amazing Madison Dulcimers. Silent auction items, donated from all around our community, will be up for grabs to help support the Humane Society Animal League for Life, a 501c3 NonProfit Organization. The HSALL's programs include: an Adoption Program for homeless pets, a Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) program for community cats, and we run a Low-Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic to help make sure affordable spay and neuter is available in our community to everyone. Please come out for an evening of great fun and friends and help support our mission.

What:  Adoption Event!-JCPenney, Richmond, KY

Where: JCPenney, 2037 Lantern Ridge Drive, Richmond

When: Friday, March 22nd, 2019 from 11AM – 2AM

Details: That's right! JC Penney in Richmond has invited us for #NationalPuppyDay so we're holding an adoption event! Puppies, doggies, and kitties available. Message your email address for adoption applications for pre-approval. Please indicate for dog or cat. Thank you!

What: 2019 Madison County Empty Bowls Project

Where: First Baptist Church, 425 Eastern Bypass, Richmond

When: Friday, April 12th, 2019 at 4:30PM – 6:40PM

Details: Minimum donation of $12 for handmade pottery bowl, homemade soup, bread and drink. 100% of proceeds go to feed the hungry through local programs.

What:  Shop Local Berea-Spring Passport Event

Where: Berea, KY 

When: Friday, April 13th, 2019 at 10AM –  April, 20th 7PM

Details: 27 Berea merchants have joined together to create a contagious, FREE campaign to show community members what our amazing stores have to offer!

During the week of April 13-20th you have the chance to win prizes, support local businesses, shop amazing deals, all while have a great time in our community.

• Passports are available for pick up at the Berea Tourism Center and all participating merchants
•You will receive a stamp for visiting at each location, NO PURCHASE IS REQUIRED FOR A STAMP.
•Your passport does not have to be complete to enter to win prizes, but the more stamps you get, the better your chances to win from the participating businesses. There will be 26 winners, and one Grand Prize Winner. You have the entire week to visit as many or all of the participating businesses.
•Fill our your contact information, then leave your passport at your last business stop.
•Winners will be chosen live one Facebook on April 24th
